The editors of
the Journal of Popular Music Studies (JPMS) — Editor-in-Chief Kevin J. H. Dettmar and Associate Editors Barbara Ching, Norma Coates, Kwame Harrison, Barry Shank, Patricia Tang, and Deborah Vargas — welcome submissions. JMPS is an interdisciplinary journal covering a wide range of approaches to popular music. Submissions are not limited to any disciplinary, methodological, or theoretical approach. Each submission is considered by specialist reviewers familiar with the specific topic of the essay, as well as the larger field of popular music studies. In every case, preference will be given to manuscripts that are challenging and original as well as clearly and persuasively written. To submit a manuscript for consideration, send an electronic copy (MS Word format) with authorship, institutional affiliation (if applicable), and address on a separate title page. Each manuscript page should be numbered and contain an abbreviated title. References should follow the most recent APA Publications Manual.
