IASPM-US represents the United States branch of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music. IASPM-US has been an important part of the popular music landscape since the early 1980s and serves as a forum for a range of scholarly areas and approaches to popular music. We're witnessing a period of dramatic and exciting growth in the field of popular music studies, and IASPM-US continues to make significant contributions to the field.

IASPM-US holds open elections for all positions, and has an operating set of Bylaws. IASPM-US is also established as an official 501(c)(3) corporation and can provide donors with documentation of the tax deductibility of their contributions.
